Thrive Together: IEP/504 Support Group
Meeting at Pine Meadows Wesleyan Church
386 Pine Meadow Rd, Altmar, NY 13302
You’re not alone.
Raising a child with an IEP or 504 Plan can be a journey full of questions, frustrations, and victories—and no one should have to walk that path alone. That’s why we created Thrive Together, a support group for parents and caregivers navigating the world of special education.
Whether you’re new to the process or have years of experience, Thrive Together is a place to be encouraged, ask questions, share resources, and find hope. This is not a formal workshop—just real people supporting each other in a safe, understanding environment.
What to Expect:
-
A monthly gathering in a relaxed, welcoming space
-
Opportunities to connect with other local parents facing similar challenges
-
Helpful resources, practical tools, and time for conversation
-
Encouragement from others who understand
-
Light refreshments and a casual atmosphere
Meetings are open to all, regardless of school district, background, or church involvement. You don’t need to be a part of our church to attend—just a heart willing to listen and be listened to.
Upcoming Meetings:
Date: October 21, 2025 & November 18, 2025
Time: 6:30 PM – 7:45 PM
Location: Pine Meadows Wesleyan Church (Handicap accessible entrance and restroom available)

Why We Started Thrive Together
We believe every parent deserves to be heard, equipped, and supported especially when navigating systems that affect their child’s future. Thrive Together grew out of a deep desire to serve our rural community and stand beside families as they advocate for their children.
Let’s lift each other up, share wisdom, and build a network of encouragement. We can do this—together.
